How far is your company from where it plans to be?

HorizonAxis reads where your company stands today. HorizonNorth reads where it plans to be. Side by side, the two reads show the gap your strategy has to close.

The HorizonAxis icon on the left and the HorizonNorth icon on the right, joined by a teal arrow across a dashed track.
Two reads, one distance. The arrow is the part a strategy has to cover.

WHY IT MATTERS

Your leadership team can agree on the destination and still disagree about the plan. The plan depends on how far away the destination is.

Last week's post read the first point: where the company stands today. This one adds the second, where you intend to be, measured in the same terms.

A gap measured in one set of terms shows where the distance is wide, where it is narrow and where it is close to zero. That is what turns a list of ambitions into a set of choices.

WHERE IT BREAKS

The gap usually gets described in two languages. Today arrives as numbers: revenue, headcount, last quarter's margin. The destination arrives as adjectives: bigger, faster, more focused. You cannot subtract an adjective from a number, so the size of the gap stays a matter of opinion.

The second break follows from the first. With no agreed size, every difference becomes a priority. The offsite ends with a dozen of them and no tradeoff between any two.

Illustrative. On the left, twelve short arrows point in twelve directions, labelled every difference a priority. On the right, four arrows run in parallel toward one point, labelled three to five chosen initiatives.
Illustrative. A gap closed by list produces twelve directions. A gap closed by choice produces a few initiatives, in order.

HOW IT WORKS

Two reads, in order, then a decision.

HorizonAxis, the Strategic Profile Snapshot, asks 24 questions about the business as it runs today. HorizonNorth, the Strategic Direction Snapshot, asks the same 24 questions of where you intend to be. Run HorizonAxis first. HorizonNorth is read against it, never alone.

Horizon12's AI co-strategist scores both reads on the same six dimensions. Each score carries its reasoning and the framework it came from. Put side by side, the two reads give you the gap dimension by dimension, in one set of units.

Illustrative. Six dimensions, each with a HorizonAxis position and a HorizonNorth position on the same scale. The gap is wide on dimensions 1, 3 and 6, narrow on dimensions 2 and 4, and there is none on dimension 5.
Illustrative. Dimension labels and positions are examples. Your two reads name your own six dimensions and place your company on each.

Measuring the gap shows its size. Closing it is the work of a Strategy Blueprint ($5,000–$9,500): a 30-minute Blueprint call, a facilitated workshop with your team that produces a scored first draft of 3–5 initiatives, a CEO brief, and your signature.

Six steps from the gap to a signed plan. HorizonAxis and HorizonNorth are free and self-serve. The Blueprint call, the workshop with your team, the CEO brief and your signature sit inside the Strategy Blueprint, five thousand to nine thousand five hundred dollars, priced by leadership team size.
Two free reads, then a facilitated engagement. You hold the pen at every step.

WHO DECIDES

Horizon12's AI co-strategist measures the gap. It does not choose which part of it to close.

That choice is made in the workshop, where your team and Horizon12's facilitator work from both reads and the gap between them. Every initiative in the first draft is scored, and you approve, edit or reject each one.

Horizon12's founder then presents the draft to your CEO in the CEO brief. The plan becomes your strategy at one point only: your signature.

WHAT IT COSTS

HorizonAxis and HorizonNorth are free and self-serve. The Strategy Blueprint is priced by the size of your executive leadership team, from $5,000 to $9,500.

WHEN TO USE IT

  • You have run HorizonAxis and want to know how far the destination is before the planning offsite.

  • Your leadership team agrees on where the company is headed and disagrees on what to do first.

  • You are heading into 2027 planning and want 3–5 initiatives in place of a list of twelve.

  • You have stepped into a leadership seat and want a plan your CEO has signed.

Bottom line. Measure the gap, then choose what to close first. Run HorizonAxis and HorizonNorth free, then book a Strategy Blueprint, five thousand to nine thousand five hundred dollars, to turn the gap into a signed-off plan.

Strategy Blueprint: $5,000–$9,500, priced by leadership team size. Start with the free reads instead: run HorizonAxis, ~9 min.

Strategize. Cascade. Execute.
